Opening Wednesday July 23rd, on Nite Art night! Runs to August 17th
NEW WORLDS: Intersections of Art and Science is a group show run in conjunction with Deakin University School of Communication and Creative Arts.
Featuring works from a third year unit of the same name in which art and science are brought together to make New Worlds. The emphasis is on lens-based technology as both scientific instrument and artistic medium. Science and technology in all its forms provide the foundations for artistic explorations and visual representations which range from the micro to the macro universe, the body, space and time, science fictions and hoaxes and the historical, cultural and philosophical implications which arise from these intersecting fields of knowledge and research.
